Our Master of ceremonies will be Ms. Francine Maigue, District Director, CA State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez and past FilAmChamber, San Diego President & CEO.

Francine Maigue, originally from the Philippines and raised in Chula Vista, Francine Maigue [mah - EE - geh] graduated with her master’s degree in Management from Harvard University, where she received the prestigious Harvard Commencement Speaker Prize, hosted the Philippine Presidential Debate at Harvard Law School, served as Diversity Ambassador for Women Entrepreneurs for the business society, and founded the Women's Empowerment Convention and Network (WECAN).

Francine graduated with her B.A. in World Arts & Cultures, from UCLA, where she founded the undergrad dance company, was a leader and member of eight honor societies, peer-elected Commencement Speaker, Homecoming Queen and honored with the Distinguished Bruin, Outstanding Senior, Chancellor’s Service, Woman for Change, and Young Humanitarian Awards.

In 2012, Francine was selected by His Excellency Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., Philippine Ambassador to the United States and the Philippine Consuls as an Inaugural Delegate to the Filipino American Young Leaders Program. That same year, Francine was honored with the Filipino American History Achievement Award in the areas of Humanitarianism, Arts and Community Service.

In 2015, Francine received the BAYANI "Hero" Award and was named “One of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World.” After a global search, the Filipina Women's Network proclaimed Francine "The Face of Global Pinay Power.”

Francine is a former President & CEO of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce and Miss Philippines of San Diego. A trusted voice in the community, Francine is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her popular weekly column in The Filipino Press.

Francine is the District Director for California State Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez and has served on the boards of numerous business, service, cultural, health and women's organizations and as Vice Chair for the International Friendship Commission for the City of Chula Vista.

Francine has also led a successful career in the performing arts. She holds the record for the most wins as the eight-time Pacific Coast Talent Champion and has performed alongside legends, like Mikhail Baryshnikov and ‪Jackie Jackson‬. Francine's work as a dancer and choreographer has won countless accolades, contributed to Emmy Award-winning productions and graced stages like The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Center, and Seoul Olympic Stadium.

Francine is passionate about raising cultural competence and empowering people of all backgrounds
