An all inclusive diverse ethnic chamber - association event has been an ongoing goal of all the organizations participating. This is a project we all have wanted to do for sometime and now is happening! This week a collective effort took it’s first step in making this all happen together with the Council for Supplier Diversity, Filipino American Chamber of Commerce San Diego, San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce. This inclusive experience will also include the Asian Business Association and Veterans In Business Network. The development of the planning will be a Joint Chamber Mega Mixer to facilitate a connection to suppliers and buyers, with efforts to educate attendees about available resources, and assist all diverse members with the growth and success of their business or career. This will all happen around delicious food, in an amazing venue, with members from the various organizations. The date will be announced soon.
You might have joined the chamber or association for a direct business need, but you might have also joined for something bigger and greater than yourself and your business. That is what the joint chamber -association committee is working on- something bigger. To be a part of a multi-chamber-association group that wants to see all of their members grow and succeed is inspiring. Our diverse directories of members can all help each other – find additional funding for their next project, connect with a new client, network with a buyer or supplier that is trusted and vetted, and mentor a student early in their entrepreneurial or professional career. This collaboration is about your contribution to helping business professionals from diverse minority ethnic groups succeed in an economic state that has seen tremendous growth for minorities but still has a way to go.
Please support minority ethnic business owners and professionals. Stay tuned for more information on the Joint Chamber Mega Mixer.
